Pay Pal is the best thing since sliced bread! I never buy anything online without using Pay Pal. I've friends who have been 'scammed' because they've used their debit cards previously and the scammers have managed to convince them that they're being scammed by someone else, and once they have gained their confidence, rip them off blind. Pay Pal rocks! Thanks PP
I'm good with the app myself, but I find it very taxing teaching my elders how to navigate through, without having to call customer service for accidentally sending money. My biggest issue is the press 1for English crew on the other side pretending to be from Texas or Wisconsin not realizing that I can hear the other conversations around them in the room and most of the time I have to wait until U.S time to have the problem resolved. Otherwise it's a great app
I AM ALWAYS having trouble with this app. It won't let me load money onto my PayPal it won't let me confirm my bank it won't let me do transfers. Absolutely furious as I was told this was the easiest method for forwarding and receiving money. I rarely use it anymore because it's not worth the overall headache of working with this company. Contacting them on the phone or email won't get you anywhere either. I HATE using this app.
I've been using PayPal for awhile now and I really like using there app. I've never really had any problems with them but maybe once or twice. They have been there to help me with couple of purchases that I was getting unauthorized payments taken out and so I reached out to the PayPal customer support and they had responded to me really quick and by my side every step of the way to resolve any issues that I've had. I really want to say Thank-you PayPal and I'm going to continue using the app.
I have been having issues with signing in since 8-15-2020. I type in my correct password, and it won't let me sign in. I uninstalled it and am now trying to reinstall paypal, and it won't get past the verifying stage. Edit, I see no one from PayPal made any attempt to respond to my issue. Lucky I figured the issue out not too long after. You guys really need to step your game up.
It really is easy to send money through this app. I love the feature that let's me send money right from my bank account, fee free. So simple, and fast. 4/5 stars, would have been 5/5 but for some reason I'm not able to access my messages. I have unread messages and I know they're really there (it's not an error) because I sent a message to customer support a few days ago and the response from them is sitting in my uread messages. Hopefully it gets fixed before it's automatically deleted.
I wish I could rate this garbage app less than one star. Even worse than I remember in the late 90's. Fees everywhere, a money app with ads and useless features shoved down your throat to the point that it's just clustered and confusing. Oh, and you'll never get your money. Been waiting 8 days now for a "3-5 business day process" and there's no support or contact option. Just do yourself the favor and download cash app or use Facebook pay like every other human. Just terrible.
This app used to be great. Not anymore. I don't know how many times o have to keep logging in, and don't even get me started on trying to add a bank account. Also I logged in using my password, and when it logged me out randomly (again) it said my password was wrong. So I had to redo that, then it made me log back in several times. This app is also so slow, my stats has 4 bars, so there's no excuse to that. Im over it.
Absolutely horrible!! Have to sign up for yet another app and another and another to pay or request in different $ form?!?! Could they make it any more annoying? Why you gotta have a app on top of your app?! Ridiculously difficult to send request or do anything you have to spend 10 minutes signing up and download 2-3 apps just to use 1 app? Waste of time!!
Very easy and straightforward to use I like the layer of extra protection in that the buyer never knows my banking details. I am always worried that some unscrupulous person will use my credit card number to buy expensive items. I know that I will get the money refunded but it comes with a lot of hassle. It is just a pity that more companies do not use PayPal
App is good, but I cannot recommend PayPal Credit at all. Payments from your credit as well as paying off the debt take days to reflect in your account, leading to many times I've accidentally paid more back than I can afford. You're better off getting a credit card that allows bank transfers to pay it off, as in my experience they offer much more timely updates and far easier to manage. Also you can cancel a payment with an actual credit card, where PayPal Credit refuses to do this.
I hate the two-step verification!! Why - I'm logging into my account via my thumb print! The verification message never comes through to my phone so I must verify by having you call me. It's clunky, slow and not user friendly. If I accidentally press the back button, it triggers the process to start again from scratch. I hate it every time and I'm now averse to using PayPal, instead favouring other payment methods. Ditch the two-step!!
Wth. Worked great until suddenly I couldn't transfer money out. Also suddenly couldn't change any of my personal info. Then couldn't hear back from customer service, because to access the message they sent, I have to provide a phone number... Which they already have... And won't accept. If I can't access my money, this app is worthless.
For some reason they have changed the app and now logging in with biometrics is not enough, I have to pass a 2nd security check every single time I open app even though there site says this should only happen from time to time. Have contacted PayPal and they say that isn't how it works. I have now given up trying to get help with it, very poor service.
I love using PayPal when shopping via the internet. They keep my credit card info private rather than each store getting it and the payments go right through very easily. They even have a Quick Pay option so you can pay more quickly. They save your addresses if you are sending gifts too! And now they have an option for you to be able we to family members or other people cash if necessary. It's so easy to use and PayPal is great!
Not worth using. I started using PayPal for its ability to dispute charges and such. We'll, I finally had to use it and it's a joke. PayPal denied my case because the company "delivered" my package, even though they didn't. I don't think they looked at any of the proof I sent them, because I have screenshots that show the company reaching out to me AFTER it was "delivered" saying it was still on its way and would get to me in a few days. Now I'm out money and won't be using PayPal again.
I tried using PayPal as an alternative payment method for customers. After one attempt I'm done... PayPal holds funds for days until they "verify" service was completed (why would I be paid if it wasn't?). Once the money is released of course theres a problem loading it to a debit card. So another 3-5 days to have a bank deposit... I should've just told them to mail me a check. I'd have my money by now.
Absolutely love this app! So helpful and honestly use it for all my online purchases, if applicable, and it gives you more of a secure feeling when making a purchase knowing the shopping sites are not getting your full information. The less of that shared the better in my personal opinion.
Horrible customer service. Spent 4 hours talking to 6 people from 4 departments before finally being told my credit purchase through your company was being flagged as a security issue. Now I have to wait another 48 hours for your system to reset so I can try and make this promotional purchase again. I absolutely hate when my valuable time is wasted and your company wasted half of my day off. Thanks for nothing.
App hardly works. I've had to input and update my personal information multiple times and it still won't save. If you try to accept a payment it gets hung up and spins forever. I've tried this using cellular and Wifi connectivity with the same result. My GF has the same issue on her iPhone as I do on my Google Pixel 5. Online environment works flawlessly but the app is clunky and full of bugs.
The app is satisfactory but does not deserve 5 start because of lacking all the features found when using paypal on the web. For instance, there is not the wallet feature in the app. So, this app would be deserving 5 stars if all the features found in its website is the same as in the app although the user interface might not be the same.
Real bad app. No option to view business debit unless you use the website and customer support for PayPal is the worst. Every representative will lie to get you off the phone. Now if I want to purchase anything from my bank. PayPal wants me to allow them access to my bank account so they can spy on it. An infringement of my privacy. I'm done with PayPal.
Paypal sucks. No one is ever any help on the phone. They always have buyers best intrest even if it means the seller gets ripped off. Constantly waiting for funds to clear even when loading money to your own account and there is no one to help you unless you call during regular business hours. I have a paypal debit card and it is terrible compared to my other cards nothing can be loaded instantly and when you ask them to they will try and get out of helping you. I hate paypal
I know that a lot of things have changed with PayPal but I did not realize that they were going to charge so much to cash checks so that's the only downfall as of now but I'm sure there will be other things unfortunately with these money apps they're always seems to be but that really is my only complaint anytime that I've had any money deposited it's been very quick!!
The app would not open until several tries. Continually fails to recognize my login info. I will not change my password for 5th time today. Can only use website link to send money. It's one of my wallets for online companies which prefer PayPal. When I was locked out of my account, for it not recognizing my info, I didn't have to wait more than 5 minutes to talk to customer support services. Customer Service agent Orly, was very helpful getting me back into my account again.

Also its almost everytime I try to to anything with the app. Wifi, mobile data, dns settings, vpn no vpn, nothing I do will keep this random message from appearing at random times. My experience has been AWFUL. I've been having to use PayPal as a means to shop online and it's constantly been letting me down. I need to use PayPal to sell on depop so I can't close my account but I keep getting "unknown fees" being taken from my account. And not small amounts, like £10 / £15 at a time which I cannot get back because PayPal say it's depops fault. When it isn't going through to depop on the bank statement. I've recently transferred £110 through Paypal which hasn't gone through
My experience with PayPal is horrible. Last week when I was trying to send money, it kept saying my phone number was invalid. I called customer support and they said they couldn't help. Today, I tried sending money, but it said my card was rejected because they only accept Visa, Mastercard, and Discover. The card I was trying to use was Discover, so I called again. Again, they said they couldn't help and told me to "just use another card" as if everyone has a multitude of cards laying around.
Honestly, I rarely used the app however, I tried to log in yet it needs to confirm my identity, so be it. To my dismay, I've tried answering my security questions correctly yet the app says it was wrong. It was like,what the heck, I'm the one who made that account but I can't log in. Can't try to confirm via text since I lost my number which I use there. Hope you could help me address the issue. The sooner the better.
